ADA Compliant Exit Signage
Our government protects the rights of the visually impaired, among others, with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA Standards require certain types of signage design and placement for facilities subject to the law, among these requirements are design and placement of exit signs. ADA compliant exit signs are required to have raised tactile letters, Grade 2 Braille, a non-glare finish and ample color contrast between the tactile copy and sign background.
Utilizing our HID paper insert signage system, your customers can easily change the exit sign background colors to complement juxtaposing interior walls and accents. Our unique interior sign system design allows your customers to update and change sign messages and graphics with zero down time. Your customers simply print the new sign graphics and then use the suction cup tool to remove the non-glare lens and replace the paper insert located beneath it.
Exit signs may be required for Building Occupancy Permits. Be sure to research local building inspection codes in order to ensure your customers’ proper compliance.
