The ADA Standards require certain types of signage design and placement for facilities subject to the law, among these requirements are design and placement of exit signs. ADA compliant exit signs are required to have raised tactile letters, Grade 2 Braille, a non-glare finish and ample color contrast between the tactile copy and sign background.
